Learn About Dr. Dennis Denick

Dr. Denick completed his undergraduate work at Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received a second Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Optometry degree.

Dr. Denick completed rotation in several different modes of practice where he gained an understanding of ocular disease and treatment.

Upon graduating from Optometry School, he went on to work full time with a busy ophthalmology practice (where he remained for several years) and gained valuable experience diagnosing eye disease pertaining to overall systemic health.

He has expertise and interest in specialty contact lenses including those required to treat a variety of eye conditions. Custom medical and therapeutic lenses are used to fit ocular anomalies such as post – surgical complications, chronic dry-eye, trauma and almost any degree of refractive error. He is certified in Corneal Refractive Therapy (orthokeratology). These are specially designed gas permeable contact lenses that are worn overnight that temporarily will shape the cornea to reduce nearsightedness, so glasses or contacts are not required during the day.

He is licensed and trained to diagnose and manage many common eye diseases such as dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration and more. Dr. Denick co-manages with several local ophthalmologists for pre and post-cataract and LASIK surgeries.

In 2013 he became a Diplomat of the Board of Optometry and had been published several times in the Annals of Ophthalmology.
